Urgent fee to be charged at the Consular Camp

This Mission has decided to rationalise the consular fee charged on Bangladesh nationals living in different parts of Australia. In view of this, applicants from Sydney wishing to get their Bangladesh passport renewed or endorsed will be required to pay urgent fee since they receive the service on an urgent basis and on the same day. Accordingly, following fee structure will be applicable for applications received in our Sydney Consular Camp Office in Homebush from January 2007:

Fee to be paid in the Consular Camp (in A$)
01 Renewal of Passport (5 years)
285.00
02 Fees payable for Renewal of Passport (for a year or a part thereof)
57.00
03 Endorsement in Bangladesh Passport (inclusion of children, change of name or date of birth etc)
141.00

Fee for all other services (No visa, visa, attestation) will remain unchanged.

Mode of Payment

All payments must be made in the mode of Postal Money Order or Bank Cheque as we DO NOT accept cash, credit card, eftpos or personal cheque. Applicants are highly advised to have their money order or bank cheque prepared during week days as most post offices and banks are closed on weekends. However, Homebush Post Office which is situated near the camp office remains open till 1200 hrs on Saturday but is not open on Sundays. Fee for consular services of multiple applicants (for e.g. members of a family) of different natures (for e.g. application of 'No visa required...' seal and visa by separate applicants) must be paid in different cheques/money orders but of similar natures may be combined in one cheque /money order. This Mission would repeat the advice that cash will not be accepted under any circumstances.

This Mission would like to request those who intend to have their consular works done from our camp office to have all their queries cleared by sending e-mail or by calling the Canberra office on week days or by visiting our website http://www.bangladoot-canberra.org/ Frequent phone calls in the consular camp office disrupts the normal discharge of service by only two officials in the camp office that ultimately results in delay and sufferings to the service seekers already present in the camp office.
